I didn't like how he handle his first black-ops, especially cut-off Nikita like that.

However, I am feeling bad for him same time. I mean having burden that his friends and people can be killed anytime when they screw up... no mistake allowed. And, that's from the president who has power to act on real...

That's not easy, and poor guy slept in the office couch. That's not good.

He needs little break I guess...

I didn't like how he handle it either. To be frank I was annoyed, but I agree I felt bad for him too because he has so much pressure against him. Birkoff is right he need to relax a bit.

I don't understand why people are hating on Ryan. I saw too much of it in Tumblr.

I think the ending pretty much explained why he did what he did. He wouldn't have cut off Niki and Alex if he didn't have a reason for it. He's burdened with keeping Division alive and not having the agents wiped off the map - which I'm sure was what the President was talking about. They wouldn't have use of the agents - so killing them off would be the "solution" and Ryan is trying to not have that happen.

Both Ryan and Nikita were right when they were arguing about seeing stuff in the ops/field and making difficult calls. If this ep is an indication of future eps (Ryan reigning in Nikita), I'm all for it. That would be a great dynamic for them if Ryan becomes "an obstacle" Niki has to go through.

The big key to that is the scene near the end of the premiere, where Ryan talks to the President. We see that he’s carrying a burden that nobody else knows about and that he is trying to keep from everybody else, including Nikita, because he doesn’t want to place that on her. That’s the source of his tension, and I believe it balances out any of the initial harshness that he might have. He’s not coming from a place of, “I’m the boss, and I’m going to do this to be the boss,” it’s, “If we screw up, we’re all dead. And I can’t let you know that because it basically means you’re back where you all started.”

I wouldn't say I hate him and he really should tell Nikita about the situation, but again I understand where he's coming from with not telling her. It's what I do love about this show. Yes you might not agree with some character's POV or they might annoy you sometimes, but you do understand where they are coming from. It makes it all very real.
