Have you recently cleared out your temporary internet files? If not, you might try that and see if it helps. Sometimes if the temp files are overloaded it won't save internet/image files correctly.

okay, thanks. i'll do that.

ed: i've cleared it up but it still won't save properly. one thing i've noticed is that the automatic filename it gives is usually 'untitled'.(when normally, the page title/heading is given) and sometimes, i still have to type '.html'. i've never had this problem before and i never needed to clear up the temporary files. i might have to ask a friend to go check it out. i'll be very grateful if anyone knows what's wrong with it. i don't want to keep trying to troubleshoot...might just mess things up even more..

I didn't really want to start a new thread and I'm not sure if there is an existing thread either, but anyway, this is to do with DVDs. If the DVD is scratched, will it automatically mean it won't play? Will it play, but only certain scenes be effected? and how so (skipping?)? If it is scratched, do I have to go through the whole DVD to see if there is anything wrong?

Well, I'm not sure about DVDs, but with scratched CDs (depending on how scratched up it is) it'll just skip like crazy- the most annoything ever is to listen to a scratched CD. I would assume then that a DVD would skip, but I'm not sure. I'd put it in a DVD palyer and see what happens.

I have a Mac PowerBook G4 and it will not dowload any 100X100 icons. Anytime I click down on an icon and go to "save image as", the window that would ask where to save it to doesn't appear.
Is it my computer or the icon?

Question: I want to use a smilie from another site. I've seen others do it. I know we can use the ones from this site, and the site seems to make it easy to get the link for the image. But i can't seem to get it to show up in a post on FF.

No, if it didn't show up in preview, it won't show up when you post it. The only thing I can think of is that the server it's hosted on doesn't allow hotlinking.
