it´s quite easy. Just use:
<lj-cut text="read more">text here</lj-cut>

for a fake cut yours should work. to make it look better make it bold.
Why is yours not working? What happens when you post it like that?

My post is marshmallowhobo. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. I posted the EXACT same link in comments on someones personal journal and it worked fine.

It looks fine to me, but maybe you should try using the hyperlink instead. I always use that and it always works for me on communities.

You write like under a tiny preview like 'more here' then you select it and press the hyperlink button, which is next to the size drop down.

You then paste the url to your LJ entry into the box without the http:// part

Why does the last part show up when clicking on my profile link (the ?usescheme=lynx part)?

whenever clicking on it, I'd like it to take me to just

because without that extra stuff I get the profile to look the way I want (with the home, journal, profile etc links as well).

Can I change that somehow myself, without manually having to remove the last part whenever I go to the profile page?
