so i guess it's safe to say that hellcats will be over after the season because with all the other shows they said that there were only 2 episodes left until the finale and in this promo they said "there are only 2 episodes of hellcats left"..
anyway, about the episode: i thought it was a bit boring and you could see sav's dad get arrested from a mile away. hmm i feel bad for her though. where the hell was nasty alice and why did she let kathy have lewis?? __________________

Marti's plot was a snooze. But they have great voices together. I've never seen AJ in anything and MAYBE heard a song..maybe...
Oh man, this Monroe plot makes me ship Savannah/Nate Archibald for the sheer purpose of same plot. Lewis/Kathy! WOOT! Love it! Great to get more backstory on Savannah/Kathy. Eck...Savannah is that poor of a student? And AGAIN with majoring in cheerleading? WTF does that mean? That's not real.... I really enjoy Savannah's family storyline, but I'm not sure I care for this one. Mostly because I've seen in with GG and I'm bored. __________________

Cons:
- way too many story-lines jammed in this episode. Red/Vanessa/Emily plot felt out of sync with the rest of the eppy and should have been kept until next week, IMO. - Aly and AJ can harmonize like nobody's business and watching them perform is nice, but they should have stopped at 1 song. 2 songs was OVERKILL. PROS: - Wanda teasing Marti about having a crush on Julian. Finally! A character admitting out-loud that Julian is a HOT professor. - Ending scene between Julian/Marti. The scene was beautifully shot. More romantic than I was expecting it to be since I had seen the fan-recorded spoiler clips of this kiss ages ago. - The sheer sexiness of Gale Harold in that final scene. He looked absolutely GORGEOUS. Someone hand that man a crown because he's definitely won the title of HOTTEST MALE on Hellcats. __________________

Wanda's teasing was awesome! She senses it!
I really liked the scene with Wanda, Marti, and Julian with the info about Rex. The ending MJ was SO CUTE! Made me smile. __________________

You know what did surprise me this episode -- "Pops" from the guitar shop was not Rex!!
Tonight's plot-line with Savannah was so predictable, so when it turned out that Pops wasn't Rex like I was expecting...my jaw dropped just a little. __________________

I didn't like this episode at all.
First of all, too much singing, and I don't like the half-sister storyline. Then, Savannah & her family are getting more and more out of character, it's ridiculous. Those grades? Her losing her scholarship? Her Dad getting arrested? Lewis & Nasty Kathy got together just like that? What did I miss? TBH, the only thing I liked was Wanda, and the JM scene at the end. |

I'm probably going to be the only one, but I really enjoyed this episode. LOVED just about everything with Marti and her sister. Just wish they would have picked a better name for her. Just like someone said I was VERY shocked that Pops was not Rex. had me fooled there.
I could see Savannah's dad doing something illegal from the get go. And it not working for her tuition. I feel really bad for Savannah, but she obviously should have been a little more skeptical of where the money was coming from. Also I was NOT expecting the whole spider thing between Savannah and Kathy. Honestly the way Savannah was looking at her...... I thought she had a crush on her, and Kathy shot her down or something. __________________

Oh, YES! SO AGREE about being surprised Pop wasn't Rex.
Lewis/Kathy started from the picking song episode; I was really happy to see it continued. Though, I get the because of Lewis/Alice last week. __________________

Not bad but too many storylines.
Vanessa/Red/Ex Wife have bored me already, let's move on. Savannah becomes more OoC every episode. She's so bright and yet such a low GPA? It was so obvious about her dad but when she broke down At least Dan was there for her Not going crazy over the half sister storyline. We could have survived without it. So Nasty Kathy & Savannah has a past, who thought it would be something like that? Marti/Julian were WOW I dig them. I dig them badly. __________________

Okay. So... I just caught up on the episode. And I will never understand all of the negativity of this board. I think this show is just as good as it was in the first half of the season, but that there are just different types of storylines unfolding, instead of romantic ones.
Red and Vanessa.. I don't think they really need anymore than what they've gotten so far and I think Emily adds an entirely new layer of complexity and depth to their story while still adding a tinsy bit of romanticism to their story, even if it's sad from her aspect of things, they've made her vindictive enough so that you aren't necessarily sympathetic. But I think they are still doing an excellent job of continually building up their love through her story. I wasn't a fan of the half-sister storyline and I'm still not, however, like most things in this show, I thought it was written incredibly well and with alot of heart so I don't mind it either. Savannah and Kathy's history made me tear up. I felt so bad for Kathy but Savannah was so young that you can't really blame her either, although I'm liking these little smudges they keep putting on Sav's character (what with last week and the cheating, although it was explained perfectly and made sense and then this week with the name calling and being mean to Kathy) because it helps me relate to her much more. I also think the stuff about her GPA made perfect sense. Her life has revolved around cheerleading since the very first time we met her and this definitely wasn't the first time they brought up the "cheerleading major" stuff so I think it makes perfect sense. It's just like last week with people saying the cheating was OOC - I don't get it! I think this show is wonderful at explaining twists and turns with plots and this one was no exception. I liked her entire storyline. Marti and Julian are really entertaining but I like that they aren't being overly romanticized. I stand by my opinion that this show is truly incredible and well written. I love it so much. __________________

There is so much more to the show than the romance and the couples. And I think people are so wrapped up in their couples that they dont see everything with the show. I like that, even though you dont care for the sister storyline, you are still able to appreciate it in a way. __________________
