Me too. My cousin's a competitive gymnast, so she can quite some of the floorwork the Hellcats do. From what I've seen at least. Of course, she's only 11, so I would imagine there are things she can't pull of yet.

but she probably will one day. cheerleading is not big here where i live.

well, aly will probably not need her double much longer because they train a lot!

Phil Of The Future was the name of the show. It aired on Disney channel. The last good live action show on Disney. imo. It aired from 2004-2006. Season 1 was filmed in 2003-2004 and Season 2 was filmed in 2004-2005. Sadly it was cancelled suddenly in mid-late 2005. Last episode aired August of 2006.

I have talked to the creator and he told me how he had to fight really hard to cast Alyson because she had no prior acting experience. Disney didnt like that idea. But it all worked out and i'm glad they fought hard to cast Aly. She is really an underrated actress. People like to write off actresses that come from Disney but Aly is the real deal. She is showing it on Hellcats. Watching her portray a high school cheerleader in one of the early episodes of 'Phil' to watching her portray one on Hellcats an interesting comparison. Also it's Disney vs CW. They always show more skin on the CW.

that's kind of understandablke since disney is a channel especially for kids.

they don't talk about adult stuff there either and all they ever do is kiss and even that is seldom.

but i guess it's nice... xD maybe i'll watch a vid on youtube from her "phil" time.

well lot's of people wouldn't be popular today at all if it wasn't for disney so i don't think they should underestimate their actors so much.

They are afraid of grossing out there core viewers. Something the CW isnt opposed to doing.

As you can see in my sig....sort of. My #1 OTP of all time is from Phil Of The Future. Phil/Keely. Usually i'm big into shipping characters but surprisingly i have yet to have one in Hellcats. Then again i have never had a ship on a CW show. But at least with Marti the CW hasnt destroyed her character yet. I think they have come close a couple times...but overall they tend to fix it and redeem her before it's too late.

I'm like the biggest Phil of the Future fan.

You can catch some episodes there. I mean for fans of Aly who have never seen the show it will show you how great she was at the start but just how great she has become.

I love how she describes the characters of Marti and Keely in interviews. She say's her personality in real life is more like Keely but her sense of Style is more like Marti's. You can probably guess that by some of the above pictures. So if anything, even if the show isnt your thing, you get to see how Alyson has grown through the years and why Doug Tuber and Tim Maile worked and fought so hard to cast two actors who are main characters that had no prior acting experience. Alyson and Raviv. I love getting incites into shows from Creators after they are over. Especially when they end suddenly and have a cliffhanger ending like 'Phil' did.

It's funny though...we were talking about kissing....and while the kissing in Hellcats is obviously WAY more intense then the one kiss in Phil Of The Future but by Disney standards the 'Phil' was pretty hot.

I know she goes by Aly now instead of Alyson but I'm happy to see this thread has her as Alyson though.

she looked so cute back then. and i think she disd a great job as an actress on hellcats so far and you are right that kiss looks pretty intense for disney since they usually let their characters tell eachother i love you before they even get to kiss each other on the cheek.

Yep, that's Disney for you. Usually they do it at the end of the series so they don't have to worry about alienating anybody.

No offense to Ashley Tisdale....or any others some of you may love....but I believe Alyson Michalka will be the biggest former Disney live action show star since Shia LaBeouf from Even Stevens.

Hellcats getting picked up for a 2nd season of course would help that.

I mean if Gossip Girl can last with some of the horrid ratings they get they should pick up Hellcats. Since the ratings have been pretty solid. But stranger things have happened. But i like Hellcats chances.

i just read that hellcats is expected to be picked up for a second season. it has better ratings than gossip girl atm so i guess we shouldn't worry too much!
