I hate thinking that way. I think this show is so well written that they would never "ruin" any aspect of it, but, if it is renewed, I don't think they'd ruin DS anyway.

Maybe you guys will get some really meaningful scenes next season!

As Savannah says, "positive outcomes only."

It seems as if they've taken a backburner to Marti's lost family storyline

maybe this whole dad situation Savannah has will either help things along or put it even further back

I've only recently gotten into the show and I absolutely adore Dan/Savannah. Seriously, they are just too adorable together. They bring out the best in one another.

Can I be added?

Also, I know a lot of threads have 'honorary shippers' for couples. I'd like to suggest Dan's dad as an honorary shipper, as he was the one who told Dan that Savannah was great for him, a lot like his mother.

I loved their fight in the last episode. Sophia mentioned in the episode discussion thread that it brought some much-needed depth to their relationship and I agree. And I loved how they wrote it because you sided with both Dan and Savannah because they were both simply trying to protect and be their for their families while being in a relationship that just so happened to be on two opposing sides of the issue.

I sort of wish it had been more about the cheating, but any angst is good for them right now.
