From an interview with Lenkov will be about three months between the finale of season 6 and premiere of season 7. And Steve in 7.01 will go out of the hospital.

Oh Yeah!! for sure we need to see the new villian I wonder who it will be and what the reason will be to go after Five-O or any of them in particular.
