Steve and Danny have a different bond with each member of the team but their friendship runs deeper and stronger, you can see that they gravitate more towards each other, they always find comfort in the other.

There is no stronger bond than the one between the leader and his second in command

When sorrow or sadness or heartbreak hit either of them, the other one is right there, 9x11 danny will help fight the ones who killed joe and 9x12 steve will be there for Danny when danny needs steve the most, it will show just how deep and strong of a friendship these two have. Danny will find comfort in his best friend and their team.

Those two have such a special bond nobody can come between them they will need each other so much the coming episodes I can’t wait to see it.
