hmmm interesting. I think she could have worked as a regular. Although I can see their point as well, you don't want to saddle down the characters with too many storylines that take away from the 'cop drama' this early on. People tune in because they want to see them catch the bad guys, not have heart to heart with their sisters.

I'm one of those people who want to see Cop Drama and some personal life from the characters what bothers me on all the Crime series on TV is that we never see anything personal I love to watch NCIS but now after 7 seasons and in season 8 we know nothing more about they characters as in season 1 and that has to be we are 8 years later something must happend in their life's and writers and producers always forget that I hope we get 75% Cop Drama and 25% personal stuff in H5O so whenever this show stops we the fans know what happened in their lives.

We had Jack Lord and James MacArthur for 12 years on or TV screen and what did we really knew about them Oh Yeah they both were Cops I don't want that for Steve, Danno, Chin and Kono

Yeah, before they changed her storyline, Mary would have actually been more involved with that "Champ" box storyline... probably would have seen more of her investigations had they not decided to drop her character.

I think Taryn also said some stuff on twitter that's negative about H50 while she's filming... she has deleted it now, but ... probably didn't help out her stay.

She did. There is a fanpage (or a like page) on FB called Hawaii Five-0 Undercover and they've been updating stuff a lot. They have a blog of the tweets but I don't know if they still have it up. From what I've seen it was pretty crazy and she was mad about everything.

I think that rant was after she finished filming her last scene where Steve drops her at the airport to send her to LA. I could be wrong, but I think that was when it was because Peter tweeted to someone to give her a break, and that she just finished filming an emotional scene. I'm not sure why they really dropped her or lessened her episodes, but I do know a lot of the fans didn't particularly like her as Mary. Her acting skills in particular. I've read that at a lot of sites. I'm sure her rant didn't help her cause. Who knows though. She did say on twitter she would be back, but I don't know if she was just saying that. I really hope they decide to focus on Steve's and everyone's personal life more too. People want to see that side of the characters too.

Exackly!! and it will make this crime show different then other crime shows and sofar the writers did a great job hope Mary will be back Steve needs also a family just like Danny, Chin and Kono for me H5O gets better and better every week love it!!

I hope she comes back as a guest star. And be somehow involved or at least up to date with steve's investigations regarding their mother.

I like seeing Steve the Big Brother... not only trying to ocntrol his baby sister's life, but even be very protective of her, so I definitely wish she comes back as a guest star. I mean... Mary is just in LA. Not dead, so why not.
