i know peter said it is a happy ending, but there are so many things that can mean happy (mcdanno, mcrollins, getting to know what's in the champ-box....) and what is happy for me doesn't mean happy for someone else (mcrollins).
and a possible leaving of hawaii by steve isn't happy either to me. no matter what: this is his home, he is not a haole. hawaii is in is heart and soul.
so despite I didn't watch the last episode I am getting more and more excited for the finale. just not sure what it has in store for us

maybe they were "tired of begging".
if an actor says he wants to leave every year and you have to bring him to stay every time it is possible that they just don't want that anymore. and with scott saying he is done too, they had to talk to both actors.
can't imagine any other reasons for now.
on the other hand the show was still strong and I think it would have been worth to at least try to talk to them.

Glad it got at least 10 seasons though. Its a good number.

They didn’t had to beg Alex didn’t had a contract last year same go’ for this year he wanted to leave when he thought it was time and I don’t believe he wanted out now he just was called producer of the show you don’t leave after one season then IMO

Thanks for posting it brought me to tears I wish what Chi McBride said that he could do this for 30 more years come true.

It is so sad that they have to say goodbye to each other such a cast what all became friends you fins once in your life and the friendship they have outside the show is so strong that we could see it in every episode.

hmmm.... it is kind of interesting that there had intended on being a mini cliffhanger had the finale been a season finale not a series finale. Wonder how that would have played out if it did.
