Yeah, I agree. I honestly feel like he hasn't been AS happy since he has been in an actual relationship with Catherine. It always seemed like even if he had a tough case, he was still happy because he knew at the end of the day, he had Catherine.

Yep, Steve wants a family he loves Charlie Joan and grace but he wants to be called dad, you can see a little jealousy when he Charlie or grace call Danny dad,

Alex wrote this episode so he could finish this story of Doris who know maybe next year it will be Catherine SL Alex will finish

I feel like it should be Peter Lenkov to write any story of Catherine and Steve, not Alex just because of how much Peter is a fan of the Steve/Catherine relationship. Who knows, maybe now that Steve lost yet another person close to him in his life, it is a reason for Catherine to come back.

I hope so! Especially since that is usually when she comes back. Either when someone in his life is in trouble or lost someone close to him.
