I loved that too! After all the harping on about doppelgangers meant to be together, that was an awesome line. And the original ones are dead now aren't they? So... universe be damned indeed.

I liked that Elena mentioned to Stefan that she had the greatest summer, she was in love and she was happy. Damon gave her that.
