I'm not completely sure we can be this harsh on but I will say that I do think Ian could've done so much better. It was an acting role, and exes do not matter in the acting world, so I do find myself disappointed in Ian for not just putting in as much as Nina did. I'm sure that she wasn't exactly giddy to be back there again but she took her job seriously. And I'm also just disappointed in Ian because when I rewatch the show, Ian is freaking brilliant at his role as Damon, he just nails it. So to see that and then watching the finale, it was very
I just hope that life goes on for Ian and Nikki. I'm not one of those who are angry at Ian for dating Nikki, I think everyone else should calm down on their relationship because clearly Nina wants to move on, and she's been very respectful of their marriage so I think the wild fans on her social media accounts need to follow her lead

I don't give a dam about Ian and Nikki.That's beside the point. Either he's an actor, a professional one or he's not.And he proved he's not. If in the reunion we could justifty his behavior with his grief for losing his brother, there is no excuse for the sucking acting when Damon picks Elena up in the cementery or when they're walking hands in hands into the afterlife. He didn't show concern for never seeing he's brother again. He showed almost hate, coldness, indifference towards the so called love of his life.

Ian's acting?Never found him brilliant, even if he nailled a couple of scenes. The guy's acting;Open eyes wide open and smirk. That's about it.

I think, the short finale deprived us of a lot of better Delena scenes. (The show deserved a two hour finale!). With Damon grieving for Stefan I didn't expect a giddy and overjoyed Damon, so I'm still happy with Ian's acting. And don't forget: Nina also played Katherine and I loved the scenes between them (if Katherine was needed there at all is another topic...).

And about their personal situation: There's no change to their situation from season 6. I see no problems between them, not then and not now.

I didn't need more delena scenes. I just needed Ian to deliver in those scenes and he failed.

Their situation definitly changed. He's bitter and rude about her. So either he's not over the break up, or his wife thinks he's not and he's trying to fix this.The guy failed to do his job ,to put aside whatever issue he had wiith Nina for one freaking episode.His wife was on the set all the 6 days Nina filmed. That says a lot.
