That is very true! Me too! They're my fav characters! But I really enjoyed Caroline & Tyler, their development was amazing this season! Wow we should totally have a complete rewatch of the season!

i loved the way that even though katherine treated damon bad and all she still was there helping him along the way and trying to not get him killed

Nina had so much to do this season, double duty! I think Elena\Katherine were such standouts.

^ Agreed! She did a wonderful job with both of them and went through a rough patch for them both! Especially Elena! SO MUCH stuff when you think about it!

When you think about the last episode and look back to 2x01: The Return, you're like wow

so much has happened and both Katherine & Elena did so much / went through / experienced so many things!

Katherine's in present time debut was amazing, I loved seeing just how different Katherine and Elena w/ the different ways they care themselves - it was so well done! Oh and who can forget how much this was gif-ed:
