I know, and I'm sure that these women always thought that they would never let it happen so it seems even the most strong willed people can be convinced that they deserve their abuse.

Yeah when a girl is in love and thinks her bf is perfect and she's not good enough, she also thinks she deserves to be punished. So sad.

It is sad. I really wanted to see more of Candace and her problems because while she did end up leaving him, it was barely touched and I would have loved to see her leave him instead of it all being so brief.

It was definitely an interesting storyline with a lot of potential and I wish they had explored it more.

That we do. I just wish they'd kept more of her scenes in rather than cut them. Nina does an amazing job with subtle emotions and some of her best were removed.
