FINALLY! I wasn't expecting it to happen the way that it did but I actually really loved it. A part of me does wish they could have had that talk, and maybe they still will at some point, but really I think they both have realized the mistakes they made in their time apart and nothing else really needed to be said or done. I think now they both understand why the other did what they did in the past, especially because in that last bit where Emily was quickly trying to apologize for lying about being sick and Paige was just like 'Forget it.'

I loved the little build up before the kiss. The look on Emily's face when she said they hadn't talked yet, it was clear what she was wanting to talk about and I think Paige knew it. I also loved Paige's line about the costume not fitting. Of course not because you love Emily and Emily loves you! Ugh, I loved it.

I do wish that the kiss had been a little bit more but I'm happy to have gotten what we did and now I'm even more pumped for xmas episode!

I think the "Forget it" part was so awesome and the best part of their reunion. It does represent the trust and strength of their dynamic now.

Loved the costume not fitting bit! So did Emily.

I love how immediately after that Emily's all, "We have to talk" because she knew she wanted to get back together. Yes, Paige did too so they just hurried up the process with the kiss.

I sit down to type out my feelings but I can't seem to properly process anything right now.

I'm just happy. They were adorable with their decorating, and Paige bringing over soup and.....uhg. So much goodness. Paige actually being an active participant in the whole episode, comforting Emily at the end...it's what we've always wanted.

Do I want a better kiss at xmas? Yes. I do...but I can now make it through the next few months feeling calm. I will be rewatching this episode a bazillion times.

I guess I'll move my post from last night into this new thread:

I would have liked to have seen Paige and Emily do a bit more talking(and hashing things out) before the kiss. However that is my only quibble with the episode. The rest of the episode I really enjoyed. I really liked how Paige was incorporated into the actual story. Paige got to help the Liars and was apart of the happenings in the episode which is what we have always wanted for so long. So I'm happy about that.

This just proves that the writers should have had Paige more involved with helping Emily and the rest of the Liars all along. And we got to see Paige and Emily come back together as a couple before the holidays. Their interactions and the kiss were well done. The love is still there between them. I liked how protective Paige was towards Emily in the episode. Paily still have more work to do and I'm sure they will talk more in future episodes.

But it is just nice that Paily came back together as a couple and there was some much needed forward movement in their romance. I'm looking forward to the Christmas episode. And I hope that Paige as well as Paily will get more story and screen time the rest of season 5.

I agree. Or, if there was not to be any processing, at least Emily tugging Paige back in for a second, more confident, kiss.

Of course the kisses should always be longer but after watching it again...and again, I don't think this particular one really needed to be. (Of course the shipper part of me wanted it to be just like 3x08 and even longer because they've been broken up) But I think more than anything else Paige just wanted to get her point across, like 'Hey, I get it and we're okay. I still love you forever.' Actions speak louder than words anyways, right? And look how easy it was for them to fall back into themselves.

Overall I think this was one of the best episodes in like forever. For me there wasn't really a dull moment and the Paily stuff was so damn good. We got our girls back together with adorableness left and right. Plus Paige got to be in the mix again with the others which is what we've all been waiting for since like season 3.

I'm happy. So happy and I can't wait for the xmas episode.

(Moving post from before new thread - thanks for the thread btw).

Before watching the ep I was preparing to come on here & moan about how quickly they got back together & how lame the kiss was etc etc, but honestly, what a great episode of TV. & trying to watch it without shipper (or anti-ship) goggles on, the reunion fits into the episode & into the timeline of the show: Emily's done with Ali; she & Paige are together & it looks like they will be at least until the end of season 5. Plus Paige actually got to be part of the mystery & helping the girls - if they keep this up I'll be very happy.

As a shipper do I wish they'd talked, do I wish they'd had a Spoby level Make out scene? Hell yes! Am I bummed about the lack of PDA? Yup, but I don't think that's going to change - they seem to have to fight the network so hard for any little thing that it must seem not worth it & just save the fight for special scenes/eps (Christmas? Please?)

But, they're together at least; ****'s going down with Spencer & Mona (RIP) - there's plenty of time for more kisses I just hope we get somewhere near what Spoby & Haleb have had this season.

& just a moment to say sad to see the end of one of the most interesting & complex female villains on TV. Let's just hope they do as good a job with Ali

I wanted a talk but it wasn't the good moment I guess:/ And I also loved Paige's line about the costume not fitting *so cute* AAand we had our Paily's reunion before the next episode

I just hope Em is "good" with her feelings for Paige because when she said that Ali never loved her, she seemed so desappointed like she found out that what they had it was a manipulation, a game for Ali...I thought she found out she is in Love with Paige now but Ali's story is still hurting...

I know what you mean, but I think her conversation with Spencer & her wish to talk to Paige meant it was more of a realisation that Ali never loved her, even before her disappearance; not that she wanted something with Ali now & was only going back with Paige because it didn't work with Ali. (Because what kind of an awful, needy, selfish person would that make Emily?) I think she's realised she doesn't want Ali now but the upset was that their whole relationship & even friendship was a sham & she'd been played all along. (Although I'm sure an E/A shipper would have a different interpretation

I actually think it was the fact that Mona pointed out how she chose each of them separately as friends as part of a game. Thus she didn't take an organic liking to Emily when they were first friends.

Not only that but Emily has broken up with Paige over sending a letter to the police about Ali being alive because she was "putting Ali in danger" when she was A herself.

I think she was more disappointed in that way than "settling" for Paige.

Agree. I think Emily said that more as a realization as a whole that Alison never loved her but she had been fooled from the start that she had. Plus she was able to manipulate Emily into kissing her again and believing once again that she actually cared for her. Emily fell for it so of course it probably hurt and made her feel stupid for falling for it so easily but I don't see her getting back with Paige as settling. I'm sure that's what the emison shippers are going by but that just seems like crap to me. I can't see the writers doing that and it would be far too out of character for Emily to use Paige like that when Alison had just done he exact same thing to her.

I think it's been made more than clear that Emily wasnt over Paige at all this season and if she didn't want to be back with her she wouldn't be. I think Paily is going to be strong from this point out. That last scene with Em and Paige, Haleb and Ezria was more proof to me that Paily is going to be together in the end. All the girls with the people they can depend on and trust to be there when they need them most.
