Spencer Hastings is the girl who isn't what she appears to be. On the outside, she looks like a cutthroat overachiever who will do anything to get ahead. But really, she is just a girl trying to deal with the death of one of her best friends, the huge amount of academic pressure put on her by her parents, and a conniving older sister who she always has to try to live up to. But when it comes down to it, Spencer is deeply loyal to her friends and will do anything for those she trusts.

Born October 28th 1985, Troian Avery Bellisario is no stranger to the business of Hollywood. She was born to the television producer Donald Bellisario and actress Deborah Pratt, so she was always surrounded by the ins and outs of Hollywood. Even with her famous parents, she was kept grounded and chose to take time to truly perfect her acting. Her hard work paid off, as she now plays Spencer Hastings, one of the lead roles in ABC Family's hit show Pretty Little Liars.

“You're gonna watch the show and you are gonna like it. Otherwise I'm gonna come into your living room through the TV like that girl in The Ring and scare the beejesus out of you. Do not put it past me. No, really, it's a dope show. You're gonna like it.”
