Melissa's getting closer to her due date, though. Surely that will ratchet up the Hastings' family drama.

Question about the books, it's been bugging me for a few days. Spoilers for those who haven't read the books I guess.

When Mona tries to kill Spencer, I can't remember her parents seeming all that bothered about it, but when the woods/barn get set on fire with the girls caught in the middle of it, they're suddenly really protective and relieved that they didn't lose her. So relieved that they didn't seem to care that she'd lost her entire college fund. Nothing seemed to happen in between to change that. Is it because they realised between Mona and the fire that Melissa's not so perfect?

As for your question, I don't really remember. I'm not sure if this because there really isn't anything to remember (were her parents even that involved in the Mona storyline?) or if it took the whole mess with Spencer's surrogate mother to make them appreciate her more.

I can't remember them being that involved with the Mona stuff, I just figured if they were, it would have been included. It's just off to me that they seem to see the situations as completely different. Either way, it's not a bad thing that they appreciate her more.

Hopefully we'll get some good scenes next season with the whole family. I think we're all going to be watching carefully to see how Melissa acts after she finds out that Mona was A, seeing as a lot of us think she might be involved somehow - I still don't want to believe she'd do that to her sister.

I'm curious about this - how many reaction scenes we'll actually get. Considering the time jump, I don't think we see many at all. Plus, by then, Melissa will have had the baby, and she'll probably be heavily involved in Garrett's case/storyline. Speaking of which, you have to wonder what Papa and Mama Hastings are going to think of their eldest being involved with yet another murder suspect, yet another man suspected of killing Alison, especially given their concerns and suspicions about her during the summer when Ali disappeared.
