I really think Ali was trying to extort a lot of money and then just disapear.She was in trouble,BAD trouble,and she needed to get away.That's partially why she was blackmailing Byron,she needed cash.I think the deal where Garrett ''killed'' her was arranged.She knew Jenna would hound her forever...unless she thought she was already dead.Maybe Garrett had SOME loyalty to Ali and he didn't want Jenna to spend the rest of her life as a vengeful blind girl.chasing after Ali like Ahab stalked Moby Dick.His "killing'' Ali gave her a way out AND (he hoped) extinguished the fire i Jenna.The trouble started when somebody really DID die.Then it became a nightmare.

Ali once talked about ''dying young'',going out in some mysterious way that people would always wonder about.In a way she saw it as a form of immortality.She longed for it,maybe she achieved it.

Peter gave her nothing, I actually believe him on that. Byron had already given her the money, he just wouldn't give her any more. At least that's the impression I got.

Ugh, this blackmailing thing was tremendously complicated.

If Ali had already got fifty thousand dollars from Byrons, she should've taken the money and run. It'd be too greedy to ask for more.

wait, didn't Peter say he wrote a check for $50,000 claiming it was for a private detective. what if he wrote the check to Ali because of blackmail? I'm sure Ali must've known about Jason's true identity and Peter didn't want anyone finding out.

I think Peter has a lot more to tell about his involvement with the Dilaurentes family then he is letting on. Maybe even things that Veronica doesn't know about

I think they're already past that and done with it, it was for a PI (maybe the one Spencer's using now, and that's what it was leading to

) I doubt it'll come up again, because it was basically only used to make Peter look suspicious.

Speaking of Peter and the rest of the Hastings, I always find it funny how the rest of the liars were ready to throw Melissa under the bus for being in Ali's room and not Byron when they didn't know if he murdered Ali or not.
