I loved her against reason. Against promise. Against peace. Against
hope, against happiness. Against all discouragement that could be.

This is a story of girl meets girl. Alison DiLaurentis was Rosewood's very own Queen Bee. Rich and beautiful, she was both loved and feared. Emily Fields was Rosewood's star athlete on the swim team, but she was shy and guarded. On the first day that they met, Alison knew that there was something different about her. She knew they would end up as best friends -- and they did. But it was more than that, for Emily. Though her and Alison didn't always have a picture-perfect friendship, Emily fell in love with her anyway, despite her flaws. Or, perhaps, because of them.

The two were a c o m p l i m e n t a r y pair. Where Emily was shy, Alison was bold. Where Alison was brave, Emily was timid. Emily wore her heart on her sleeve and Alison kept everything inside, putting up a façade to make it look like she didn't need anyone. But Emily and Alison both knew that they needed each other. They knew each other best. Where Alison went, Emily went too. Their relationship was the strongest of the group's and everyone knew it. Emily protected Alison. Alison made Emily strong.

Their first kiss was in the school library. While reading Great Expectations, Emily leaned over and kissed Alison. And Alison kissed her back. Emily had loved Alison for so long, but she had never even dared to hope that maybe, possibly, Alison felt the same about her. For that one perfect moment, when they kissed, Emily thought everything would end up happily ever after between herself and Alison. Just like in a fairytale.

But it was not to be. Alison loved Emily in her own way, but she was also scared of what was between them. It wasn't long before she hurt Emily by rejecting her other romantic advances; Emily was crushed. She wrote Alison a letter to try and tell her how she really felt, to try and push Alison out of her life, but she couldn't. No matter what Alison did, Emily kept on l o v i n g her. And after Alison's death, Emily still carried on, never taking off the friendship bracelet Alison made for her. Emily continues to hold out for Alison. She knows in her heart that Alison isn't gone, not really. Even though she tries, again and again, she still can't find a way to let Alison go. Alison is Emily's one true love; Emily will never love anyone as much as she loved Alison. And she will continue to love and wait for Alison no matter what.

No, we didn't. All we got was the EA mention from the promo clip. But I'm glad we got at least THAT. And hey, there are still three more episodes to go! If anything, we'll at least get a group scene.

EA is all about patience -- don't forget, in the books Emily had been waiting for like, five years.

Hoping for something epic to happen in the remaining 3 episodes but my heart is crying now. I guess I have been having so much high hopes since that interview with MK.

I feel like Low Expectations may be a more suitable ship name for EA at this point.

It is disheartening, but I have to have faith. At the very least we'll get EA ~in the future~. And I have to keep thinking about that. I knew this was going to be an incredibly tragic ship when I signed on. At least I know we'll always have the possibility of EA, which is more than can be said for some ships (like the poor Spencer/Wren shippers).

I guess as long as Emily keeps wearing the bracelet and mentions Ali, I would still be ~happy~ for the possibility of future EA scenes.
