I'd like to think it's because none of the moms would be silent if the girls went to them and said "Here's the thing blah blah blah". Pam works with cops, Ashley sleeps with them, Ella and Veronica will drag their kids by the ears to the police station to come clean.
So it's probably that the writers can't write them realistically so they avoid writing them altogether. __________________
