Never underestimate the moms. They probably finished the wine stash Jessica had in the basement (isn't a basement the best place to age wine? I think I read something along those lines once) and they realized they could break that window, make a "ladder" to get Ashely out (she's easily the skinniest), she'd go back in, unlock the door, free the rest and they could go on to her house then to finish her stash of wine.

Moms are awesome that way. And yes, I agree with all of you. We DEFINITELY need that spin off. It'd easily be more realistic than all 5 girls (6 if Mona is returning as well) with established careers in the first year after college/university.

Oh yeah, I'm with you on that one. In this show people die on screen and then they take it back, but we're supposed to accept the (drunk) moms got out of the basement off screen? Nope!

Thank you And yes we do. I'm a little annoyed of how many things happen off screen on this show. Moms need their own episode (if not an entire spin off based on them and their lives)

At this point, would we be all that gutted if they used the time jump to scrap the liars and focus on the mothers?

If I'm 100% honest, I've outgrown the liars themselves at this point. I like the show and I like the mystery most of all but the constant red herrings or the girls caring more about about boyfriends/girlfriends are close to be truly annoying. I like the idea of the time jump mainly because it can give the girls a chance to change and grow.

And to get back in topic, nope. I wouldn't mind watching the moms handle their daughters' lives, or their drama or even them relaxing together after a grueling week of dealing with life, with each other and a nice bottle of red wine and those huge glasses.

The mothers are a lot more interesting than a lot of the stories the liars get. I love them, but they seriously need to sort it out, tbh.

I think that's what the time jump is supposed to do.

Personally I'd really like a "meanwhile the mothers do so and so during the never ending senior year" episode, and see the moms (plus Jessica because I love the actress) do their things. Life did go on in Rosewood even though the girls had their issues.

Can you imagine Jessica and Ashley have a row over Ashley sleeping with Jason? Jessica and Veronica argue over Peter (or better yet compare notes)? I think my favorite scenes where in season 2 during the fashion show where the moms just talked and Ella/Ashley joking about the singles site they had joined.

I'm convinced the time jump will make it worse, tbh What we have heard doesn't sound promising, imo.

We need all six mothers (including Mona's) arguing about everything and drinking all the wine!!

First thing I've ever seen Mona's mom in, she was toting a gun and looking great. She can put a bullet in someone's head, sit back down with the rest of the moms and crack open another bottle. Pam can steer the cops away, Ashely will offer to "distract" one of the cops, Ella will offer advice, Veronica will defend her and Jessica will give them all alibis. #MomsUnited

I haven't read any spoilers outside that Ali will be married to Cece's psychologist, but I did hear that seasons 6b and 7 will be all about the romance (because seasons 1 to 6A apparently weren't) so I don't have high hopes.
