Mona, in one episode, has done more for Hanna than the other girls in all the episodes.
Aria- too busy with Jake Spencer- too busy with Toby Emily- helped a tad but made things worse for everyone |

You really do see the writers persisting with the Hanna/Mona dynamic. There are signs that they will be revisited and close friends once again in every episode practically this season. I love this fact, they aren't letting go of it and I believe that phone call exchanged between them was a hint. I also believe Mona knew that phone call was necessary because she knew what plan she had with Shana. I also do not believe that's a shady plan, I think they are working for the good side, I just don't know the particulars.
I do know that Hanna and Mona will be reuniting in the future. No way they give us hints about them almost all season long and don't go there. |

I would love for them to reunite and be friends, but part of me doesn't trust Mona because I don't think she's really all that sane at times

And yet Ali has done far worse- why does she get their trust?
That's what gets me; we seen Ali as a Bully and she gets a free pass but Mona who became dark because of Ali gets labeled evil for life. |

Ali didn't direct all of her vicious attacks at them, she went after other people and they played along out of some weird desire to be friends with her. It's different, I guess, it's easier to blame someone when you were their target.

I can see that; though its nice that Emily took responsibility for creating Mona in 4x12 and acknowledged that they did nothing to stop Ali.
But I am curious to see if Ali is different personality wise if she is really still alive. Has she evolved into a slightly caring person or is still using people? |
