They got together at the end of S6 and lasted until ep 15 of the following season, when the writers decided to break them up in a totally ridiculous and contrived manner. House then went back on drugs and went on a downward spiral, which ended with him crashing his car through Cuddy's front room because he saw her with another guy, with no regard for anyone's safety including Cuddy's young child. House was always a bit out there, but not THAT crazy. The writers just lost it. So then House got thrown in jail and Cuddy left town. Cuddy leaving wasn't actually planned but it had to be written in because Lisa Edelstein quit after being unable to agree on a new contract with the network. So both the H/C relationship and the character of Cuddy got a crappy, unresolved ending. I don't blame Lisa for leaving at all because I think the network was screwing her around. And seeing the disaster the show has become in S8, I'm glad she got out when she had the chance.

That show was so good up to season 3,it went all **** after season 4.

I think season 5 was amazing then it started losing its sparkle a bit, but it was still very much watchable, unlike the hideous mess it is now.
