Possible Board Closure Discussion: Please Read and Respond - The Board will be closed on Sunday (Feb. 1st). :(
 

Ria and I have been discussing this, and we think that it may be time to close this board. Our post counts have been declining over the past few months and we have very few regular posters. As you know, Fan Forum requires that we average at least 15 posts per day, with lower numbers than that leading to warnings and then possible closure of the board. We would prefer to go out under our own terms rather than be forced to close due to low post counts.

Please let us know what you think. We'd be glad to hear any suggestions or advice to renew interest here. Remember that to keep the board going, we need the commitment of a few regular, dedicated posters. As much as we love this board, please don't just post to "save" the board and then disappear again, because we'll be in the same position that we're in now if you do.

It's been really hard for Ria and me to even consider closing the board since we both love the show, the cast and you, the dedicated posters of the board, so much. It hasn't been an easy step to start this process.

So please, if you think we should save this board and you'd be willing to invest into this, feel free to say so. Don't shy away from it.

I think I'm too new here to have a real say in this.
If it comes to this, I'll be sad, but I'd also understand the decision to close the board.

I know how hard this is, I remember the crusade for this board. Sara spent ages trying to get some of us to watch it.

Hopefully you've got some posters who can help, no matter how little. All posters count.

That said, if you do decide to close, the door is always open to the old Legend of the Seeker threads at the Sci-Fi/Fantasy board. :)

Aci, you're not too new to say your opinion about that. Your opinion counts as much as the opinion of everybody else :hug:
We as well will be really sad if the board is closed down but we on our own can't manage to keep the board alive. Everything we do here lately can be discussed and posted in the LotS thread at the Sci-Fi/Fantasy board or the celebrity ones.

Em, aww, thank you! :back_hug: Sarah really tried to find people that would post here but yeah, it's been five years almost since the show has ended so I get that people moved on.

Sherry :hug: It's not problem at all. A board should depend on just one poster and you've got your own boards to moderate. I totally understand that. I haven't been around yours anymore as well. :(
If the board is closed I'll for sure bump the thread at your board :D

But hey, I plan on asking the mods of the celebrities board if we can open a Tab thread if we really will be closing. :) Maybe you'll be over there every now and then :)

I just wanted to let you know that the board is being closed down this Sunday. I'm so sorry for that to happen but it just doesn't make sense to keep the board alive if nobody is posting at all. :(

Thanks so much for everything you have devoted into the board, your time and your creativity. :group_hug: I still love the show so much and I'll miss you all.

If you'd like me to find some links to LotS related threads here at :ff: just let me know. Besides, we could ask the moderators of the celebrity board if we could open a thread for Bridget, Craig or whoever of the cast. There could even be threads already. I recall that Bridget had one before this board was opened. :)
