I didn't mean to make the OP seem shippery except with the "shippers" title but that applies to friendshippers too, hee.

I reeeally want to read the books for their scenes, but I'm not sure I'd be that into them in general.

The books are okay - well the first one is amazing - but I only really read the books for the Richard, Kahlan and Cara moments. The OT3 also get some great scenes together and the beginning of the sixth one because it's mainly focused on them for that time.
I will say that the books are more for HBO type show viewing than anything anything they could really get away with on the show. Also to show differs from the books in quite a lot of ways.
Kahlan are Cara get their awesome kick-ass friendship though, especially in the fouth and sixth books

Yeah, I kind of think that it would feel strange reading the books now because I'd be like "I can't imagine that in the show!" and I'm not really into fantasy books in general.. like, I love Wicked, but it took me about a year to get through the book

buuut I do want to read the Cara/Kahlan and Richard/Kahlan bits! Maybe I'll get them and just skim through to the good bits, hee.

I've seen some of your other OP's so I've noticed. You can keep it like that though if you want, it's not my choice.

I'm not either types of books either but the SoT books are kinda addictive. I remember still being awake at 3am reading the first one, even if there's a recurring theme throughout the books that I hate in them

. Book!R&K made me fall in love with their show counterparts so much more

and the C&K stuff is awesome even though they don't first meet until near the end of the third book.

whaaaat? Curious now. I think waiting three books to get some Cara/Kahlan would pain me! I got impatient waiting a couple days to get through S1 before I could see Cara, hee.
