Can Twilight even really be considered a vampire series...I always viewed Twilight vamps as Sparkly Fairies who just so happen to need blood to survive...

Sparkly fairies!!! I LOVE THAT.
Lets call them that from now on. They really dont deserve to be called vampires.

I totally skip a book if it's about vamps

Book stores are full of new vampire books though, it still seems to be a big hit so there is a market for them. A huge market.

ok-this is a "nice" thread for Twilight, right?
Anyway, I just watched Eclipse again last night-it's my
fave Twilight movie. I loved both Breaking Dawns as well,
and I thought Taylor's performance in both was just so good
and because Jacob was crying at the end of Part 1-I was too.
Taylor was awesome throughout the series, but that scene
in particular just broke my heart.

Sorry Soleya. I completely gott the two BD threads mixed up.
Publishers lately only care about money. They saw how popular twilight got, so they are putting out the same books. Its sad.

Hello Twilightfan14. Yes this is the nice thread. Eclipse was alright. I cant really say about the BD scene cause I didnt watch the movie. But Its good you liked it.

It's cool, finding nice things to say about it is a challenge. It's easy to forget.
Everyone is trying to benefit from Twilight. I guess there is money to be made with it. Just look at those Shaded Gray books, it's not even about vamps, but just knowing it was originally about EB got it famous.

BD 1 has few decent Jacob scenes.

Yes, let's. They really don't deserve to be called vampires...because they're definitely not.

I always felt like the Volturi had the potential to be darker than they were perceived. I mean, they were the higher up of all vampires...there should've been more intensity with them than what was really seen.

They were darker. They fed on people and didnt apologize for it. They were like the kings of the vampire world right? They werent afraid to shed a little blood.

They could've been really scary if it weren't for the fact that they ended up being a little funny. In the movies at least they make me giggle. I can't remember how I felt about them in the books though.

They should've been more like Russell from True Blood...now he was crazy, dark, and a real head vampire. The Volturi should've taken a lesson or two from him in what it means to really be a higher up vampire royalty.
