If I remember correctly I think it was pretty much confirmed she got this storyline because of Ryan. He's ego being too ****ing big and didn't like Dianna questioning or suggesting things so we got this (and some other things).

I could understand them not wanting her smoking around Beth but her clothes (and hair) didn't make her a bad person. And them trying to say so was

I think Quinn also just needed a change and this is what she wanted (or thought she wanted). Maybe this made her feel like she had more control over things. But in the end it was still an illusion because she wasn't really in control and it wasn't really her.

The P and Shelby thing was so wtf since Shelby was Beth's mom. Like if Shelby hadn't been Beth's mom and they did that whatever I guess. (I've got more thoughts on that but I'll leave it there.) But them doing that and she's Beth's mom and she's trying to force Quinn and them into this happy family is just very wtf.

Shelby's (and P's as I think he was in on it too) intentions were probably good but that doesn't mean what she did and how she went about it was a good thing. She drops in unannounced which is a shock to Quinn. Quinn who thought she would never see Beth again which probably made giving her up easier since she thought she wouldn't have to see her all the time and not be her mother. It's ****ed up she didn't care how it would mess with Quinn. Quinn did do some wtf stuff don't get me wrong but it will always piss me off people don't give a **** about what Shelby did.

I also don't know how adoptions work but with Glee it doesn't have to be factual.
