It looked like she might have been about to commit suicide (though she could have been up there to contemplate things more. But then she sees the guys who have come for her and her family and decides to fight back.

I think she definitely was thinking about jumping, she felt like she had nothing but a life of being in hiding and that's not a life anyone should have to live

Oh I believe she cared for him genuinely, but was also infatuated. I think she really wanted out of her home life and saw him as an escape

I think had they actually tried to run off together, Belle would have eventually come into her own as a woman and human being and ended up pursuing a different life than just being stuck with him. I feel like she would have genuinely tried to give their "thing" a shot like she talked about but would have realized later on that there are many more adventures to go on in her life
