OCTAVIA FIGHTS FOR SURVIVAL

Octavia (Marie Avgeropoulos) fights in the final battle for her people's survival, but not everyone is willing to play fair. Eliza Taylor, Bob Morley, Paige Turco, Devon Bostick, Lindsey Morgan, Christopher Larkin, Richard Harmon, Zach McGowan, Isaiah Washington and Henry Ian Cusick also star. Dean White directed the episode written by Aaron Ginsburg & Wade McIntyre (#410). Original airdate 5/3/2017.

They need as many people as they can sustainably fit inside the bunker to avoid eventual extinction. And you know that Clarke thinks about these things because of the reasoning she used to make her list earlier this season. If she can say that it's more important to save young, healthy women who can reproduce, then she knows that they need way more people.

I don't think Luna wanted to take the bunker, she wanted to make sure nobody would get inside.

I think if Luna had won, it would have been pretty easy for Clarke to pull a coup and steal the bunker after the fact. I know Luna has magical blood, but Skaikru has guns.

Paulina I agree with you

I just watched the episode again and I loved the craziness that Nadia was showing

To me the transition didn't feel rushed at all. But then again, except for Bellamy last season I haven't had a problem with quick transitions before on the show.

Fuzzy I totally thought that was so weird!
Why make it a point to have Clarke really emphasize the fact that she doesn't just want SkaiKru to survive, but mankind in general. And yet, she takes the bunker for her people alone

So what was the point of the conclave if everyone just gonna take the bunker anyway, no matter who wins, why not listen to Clarke when she offered to share it with all the clans instead of going through all the trouble of blood sport to settle things that didn't even need to be settled in the first place when more peaceful options existed?

In the end the conclave became pointless but in theory the winner was supposed to choose one clan to survive. Octavia, influenced by Indra, chose to do something different.

Their best scenes yet imo. Indra is barely ever so open and emotional. She was so produ of her.

As for Octavia's decision: Do you think this was Indra's plan all along or did she try to influence Octavia, so that she would save Trikru?

I feel like this has been discussed about 20 times since the episode aired, but when Clarke suggested sharing the bunker, Indra told her they would do it if they still had a leader like Lexa to unite them. Clarke tried to be that leader, but got denied. Octavia won the right to be that leader instead. But then Clarke effed it up.
