Sarah, I wholeheartedly agree with that sentiment. I think those idealism would've been chipped away. Take for instance, Finn. He was very much that way at the start too. Thinking they could peacefully live amongst the grounders and such. But in the end he chose mass murder and it ultimately cost him his life. So yes, I think much like that, Wells would've been slowly chipped down to the bare minimal of his ideas. It goes back to what Bellamy tells Clarke. Who they are and who they need to be to survive are two different things. Wells, like the rest of the delinquents, would ultimately be shaped by their circumstances.

Agreed, Sharon. As much as the delinquents tried to stay who they are despite the horrible circumstances that they've found themselves in, I think that it ultimately would change them in some ways. However, having said that, Lincoln was one of the rare few that didn't let it change him so who knows. Perhaps, it's just the degree to which they would have stayed ... well, them, which differs from character to character.

Does Lincoln technically count? I mean he's been in that grounder world so he was accustomed to their ways. I think it's more different for the delinquents/Sky people. Because besides floating, they weren't used to people hunting them, having such savage rituals like a million cuts by every tribes member, crazy mountain people, etc. That would be a hell of an adjustment. In comparison, the sky people lived great lives, not that they think so(

I would say out of all of them, Monty probably stayed most like himself, though he's had some gray moments. It's hard to live in that world and come out unscathed a little.

I think ultimately Wells would still hold his goodness but like Monty, there would be a time when Wells would have a hard choice. Heck, what if he would've had to kill Allie infected Jaha? But I don't think many viewers would've been mad at him.

Hmm, maybe. I wouldn't really call it savage ways though, it's Grounder culture which they've practiced for many years so it's part of their heritage/history etc. I may not understand or like much of it but it is part of who they are.

I do agree that Monty has been one of the few who's been affected the least in a sense, though he's suffered in his own way too.

I just get bitter everytime I think that Charlotte killed him to slay her demons and then she ended up killing herself an episode later.

I get that she couldn't live with her actions but she couldn't figure that out BEFORE she killed Wells?

It's probably all useless complaining though, they had to get rid of Wells one way or another so that was it.
