Because in the City of Light there is no perspective of time, so ALIE and Jahaha did not know how long Murphy was actually in there.

I agree with basically all of the points they made. Yes, John has done some grade A ******* things...but, there are plenty of amazing things that he did for others. He may come off as caring only about himself but he is not like that all the time. Season 1 Murphy was pretty much a jerk but after that he became an amazing character. I have come to love him as one of my favorite characters now. I love you John my babe, even if you are a little insane.

It's all true, he has done bad things but everyone has. Like the show keeps saying, There are no good guys. A few wrongs do not over weight the many good things you have done.
