The writers aren't the only ones enjoying these 2. It's subtle, and even though they haven't had many scenes together, you can tell the relationship is strong.

It wasn't Christopher Larkin for sure, but nothing really happened with that character. He could have just been a stand in for Monty.

I think they've been friends since they were young. They seem too close to be friends for just a couple years.

If I remember correctly Monty mentioned in an earlier episode that they grew up together.

Also can I be added as a fan? These two are one of my favorite parts of the show.

They grew up together, yet in that flashback where Jasper saw Octavia he was nowhere to be found. of course, he could have just been in the room somewhere, or just not at the party.

I'm thinking that might have been around the time that they got caught. Maybe Monty was getting them more drugs.

Yeah he was probably there just not show since they were focusing on Octavia and she and Monty don't really have a relationship. That said I would love to see a flashback of these two on the arc.

Jason Rothenberg basically said at Wondercon that after the Bellamy/Octavia flashbacks that that was pretty much it for the season. So, who knows, maybe we'll get some Jasper/Monty flashbacks next season?
