It’s really not surprising to me that Murphy and Raven have formed a bond. Despite the fact that he is responsible for her leg, they really do have a lot to relate to each other about, including those similar childhoods.

There are some similarities in terms of their childhood
 but also, I kind of liked it when Raven called him out on it before ... if he did intend to use it as some sort of "excuse" as to how he turned out, Raven never let the fact that she also had a crappy background dictate her actions (which I think was the case with Murphy in season 1/early season 2).__________________

Yeah, I like that she called him out on it, too. That whole conversation between the two of them in 2x01 is just so damn good.
