How it ended will always break my heart but they had a beautiful love story while it lasted, and that's what is important.

And totally agree with you there, same for me.

I do love that she still thinks about him and he isn't forgotten about like some tv shows do.

My favorite scenes is when they first had him captive and Octavia was pleading her his life. I kinda figured it was the beginning of something beautiful after that. It really is hard to pick just one, though!

And yes, even though he's gone now, he'll always be loved and remembered and I love that.

That's a great though heartbreaking scene to watch.

And Paula is not around right now but I'm sure that she'll agree with you on that scene too.

She's a huge Linctavia fan as well.

I love it too but still heartbreaking

I love the transformation of her character and Lincoln had a lot to do with that. It's sad he'll never get to see it

I'm hoping one day we'll at least get a scene of her dreaming of him or a vision

I’m still not ready to watch season 3 yet.

They didn’t exactly have it easy in season 2.

Lincoln definitely had a lot to do with the transformation of her character.

He helped make her a warrior. The sad part, though, is that in season four, we really saw her go down a dark path and become a killer in addition to a warrior, and Lincoln never wanted that for her.

I actually loved that she went down that dark path and made her not give a crap. It showed that her love story with Lincoln was completely epic. I love that their story is still constantly a reason for her transformation.

True, I firmly believe that he was integral in her evolution ... she would never have gone down that path to become a warrior as quickly as she did, if Lincoln wasn't around. And yes, it's sad how it was his death that turned her onto a dark path and one which she hasn't quite escaped from yet.

And I think I agree

Obviously it wasn't a great path for Octavia to go down. But it showed even more that she was just utterly and completely devastated from losing Lincoln and that that made her care about everything else so little, that she went down the path of no longer caring (or pretending not to care).

I'm sad she went down that path. I was at first really disappointed by it, not wanting to see her go down that road. BUT, I think Marie pulled it off really well. And it showed even more that she was just so utterly lost.

It was hard to watch her be that way but you also understood it because she lost someone she loved very much and was trying to do everything to numb the pain. I disagree with how she decided to do it, but I can understand where she was coming from, at the same time.

But by saying she decided to do it, it makes it sound to me as if she did it by choice. And whilst I do believe we always have a choice in life about how we act, this wasn't a choice to her. This was the only way she felt that she could deal.

I agree with what you said to some extent, Paula.

She was overwhelmed with grief/pain and didn't know how else to cope ... but at the end of the day, I do still believe that it's a choice which she made. Perhaps unconscious choice is a better term but a choice nonetheless. One which I can understand/empathize with to some extent but yes, it was not the right coping mechanism.

Her relationship with Lincoln will continue to influence Octavia, no doubt, but I hope that it will ultimately take her down a more positive and healthy path.
