Definitely, the episode focused on one of Raven's best qualities - her will to always fight back, even when she's at her worst and almost gives up.

The episode needed that, too, that desire to fight for life. We ended up getting it from both Raven and Harper. (And in a way, from Bellamy as he fought for his sister's life.) Because with Jasper dying in that episode . . . yeah, it needed something like the Raven storyline to offset and contrast that.

I think it’s what I like about most the characters. They’re fighters. Raven showed her strength in that scene. Ironically, I thought her strength showed, while not exactly pleasant, was exhibited when she wanted to float herself. Raven wanted to go out in a way that would ultimately make her happy.

For sure. The episode was really emotionally heavy and needed that contrast between people who choose to live vs. people who choose otherwise. And the show did it without "blaming" the people who didn't choose to live (well, I understood it for Jasper at least ... didn't understand it for Riley since he made such a huge fuss over not being on the list

) ... and Raven was understandably disheartened and wanted to give up, but ended up saving herself. There's beauty and hope in that, and I love it.

Yeah, I get what you mean. I was so sure that she was going to die this season with the direction things were going. But like . . . I wasn't upset with her for it. I respected her choice even though I wanted her to make a different one.

Same, I was extremely nervous and upset because I thought so as well ... but not at her decision. I understood it even though I also wished for her to make a different one.

It's probably because I was binge watching but I was never worried she was going die in S4. I was just worried about how she was going to get to live.
