And they think Clarke's dead, why would she even try to fix a radio?

They might have wanted to try to reach the bunker, but maybe they'd assume that those radio's wouldn't work either due to the radiation damage to it?

Maybe.

Raven/Monty would still try to fix the radio so that they can contact the bunker peeps so if they were caught before they could do that, maybe they'd find a way to fix it afterwards but accidentally pick up Clarke's radio in the process?

And let's say in the beginning, they were busy with other shizzle, trying to stay alive on the ring. And yes, definitely no coms during praimfaya and while there is too much radiation in the atmo
