I'm going on a cruise to Cuba in October. My best friend and I booked it this week. So excited! It's becoming a pretty good week. Booked the cruise, had taken my bike in for repairs a week ago and got it back last night - with a basket! Originally thought my best friend was going to be out of town this week but she's home this week so will be going out with me tonight to celebrate my birthday.
Still have some boy drama going on. And still missing my sister something fierce - this morning she sent me a video of the kids singing me happy birthday. I loved it but also burst into tears. But mostly I'm trying to focus on the positive. Going to Havana! My best friend and I have been having a rough few months and could really use this. __________________
Well maybe the real God uses tricks, you know? Maybe he's not omnipotent. He's just been around so long he knows everything.

Lisa, I hope you get to do London. I'd love to hit up London (or anywhere in Europe) closer to the holidays but I doubt it'll happen.
Kenni, very cool.  I've been to Cuba once and would love to go again.I'm itching to travel but with everything that happened this past month and my boss maybe wanting to keep me on at these hours (way for her to talk to me about that, I heard it as a rumour from someone just below her) and my trip to Orlando in October this is the summer of being stuck in orange cone hell.  |

Ooh, London and Cuba.
 South America's just way too far away for me at this point but I loved London ... definitely would love to go back one day. Kenni, it's your birthday?   Hope that you'll have a fab one! Aww. At least you have your best friend through this, even though it's still tough. I miss mine so much.   Hang in there, Janet. It's entirely possible she was stressed about a field trip and I took things to heart. I do know I didn't appreciate her attitude at all.

Thanks everyone.
 Counting down to Friday.  I know I need to get a blood test done so I should take either a Tuesday or Thursday off soon. Half of me wants to do it on in a couple of weeks but that's the really mean part of me since I know it'll be crazy. |

Good luck on the blood test. And yes, I'm totally counting down to Friday too. I need sleep.  I'm making a lot of plans to meet up with friends over the next few weekends so at least, something for me to look forward to.  __________________

I didn't even talk to my boss, the cook came back from his vacation for all of 4 hours. His mother had eye surgery and he's out to help her but he prepared today's lunch and dinner and the lunches for tomorrow and Friday.
That sounds awesome! I got a ticket to the local zoo with a water park so I guess that has to happen soon. I'm also set to go to Broville to check out the giant duck. |
