My mom is having surgery this morning. It one of the reasons I've been so lazy with my posting.

Josie I'm in downtown Toronto, so during the film festival it's fairly common to see people. Otherwise I see them at my brother's bar Plus alot of stuff is filmed around here.

How did your mom's surgery go???

Sounds cool. I'd like to live in an exciting place. We hardly have anything going on here.

It went well. They had to remove some pieces of bone in her jaw, and remove a tooth. She was in a lot of pain, but it's kind of evening out now. She's feeling a little better. I'm relieved. Any kind of surgery freaks me out.

On Easter bit into something hard and it broke her tooth in half. It was one of her back teeth. It wasn't rotted or anything, it's just whatever she bit was so hard. She has some nerve damage from some years back. The Dentist was injecting some numbing serum and he hit a nerve. It was right around that area, so it just made it worse.

Ugh, that sounds awful I really hate teeth-related stuff, it's always incredibly painful or uncomfortable.

How was your trip? Did you get to do anything exciting?

It was good! Hot though It's their summer now, and I'm pretty sure it was hotter than I remember from a few years ago...I went into town and thought I may collapse in the middle of the street But it was nice to have a dinner away from the resort and the lame food there.

How's your weekend going otherwise?

Warm weather is good. Hot is like the worst vacation weather ever, unless you are on the beach. Did you wear heavy clothing, or really dark colors? That's basically my whole wardrobe right now. You would have stroked out wearing my clothes.

I did go shopping for some short sleeve, loose shirts a couple weekends back. I got a pretty good bit, and they were all on sale, so I did good. It's hard to choose clothing where I work. Basically in summer they freeze you out, and in winter they smother you with heat. A hospital should always be cold in my opinion because of the germs.

What was the best thing you ate? I always judge the trip by the foods I get to eat.

I have not left my house. The weekend has flown by. The rest is good for me though. The more rest I get over the weekend, the better I'll be at work. I'm moody when I don't get enough sleep. Dealing with the public, you have to have a certain attitude.

It's been ok, yesterday I went to my parents' for hamburgers and alot of wine I just got back from a Blue Jays game just now, which was pretty pathetic and the most loud annoying guy was sitting behind us, screaming about hockey the whole time...I mean we're at a a baseball game, buddy.

And I brought all light clothing to Cuba, but even still! When I went into the town of Varadero I was wearing a tshirt and jean shorts, and even that was too much. Funny because the tshirt I was wearing was one I bought in Scotland one day when I was dying of heat from wearing a sweater And honestly, I think I survived on rice and buns all week. The food there is not the best, but the dinner I had in town was really good

And I know what you mean - as soon as I don't get enough sleep I turn into a cranky hag. Do you work M-F or do you have to work weekends too sometimes?

I can't say that I've ever tried Wine with hamburgers. Is it any good?

Baseball is the best sport ever. No other sports compare for me. All the women in my immediate family have played at some point. My niece didn't want to play for her High School team, and that crushed my heart. She used to love to play, and we would all go watch her. Now I have to wait till my 2 year old niece is of the right age. She might not want to play either.

I can't imagine it being that hot. Sounds disastrous. I'd want to jump in the nearest pool. It sucks that you had to eat such plain food for the whole trip. At least you got one good meal out of it.

I'm suppose to have a set schedule of M-F 7am to 3pm. When I was the Manager I was all over the place. My schedule was crazy. Now that I've stepped down, and some one has taken over that position, my days are pretty much evening out how they are suppose to be. I have to take a day off every once in a while during the week for Doctors appointments because no one is open on weekends.

A weird combo, but honestly I'd pair wine with ANYTHING...

I love softball/playing softball, I play in the summer for the past 10 years and I am so looking forward to it! I'm talking beer league, not a serious intense all-girls team or anything like that

Did you just step down recently? You were the manager not too long ago, right? Are you liking it better now?

I'm not a big wine drinker. I like my alcohol with a fruity flavor. Wines don't taste all that great to me.

The Softball league for fun sounds awesome. Wish we'd have one here. I'd totally join. If my employment would host events we could surely have a team. We have enough women.

I was the Manager from April 2014 til October 2014. The girl who took my place wasn't there a month before she went into labor and had to be out. I had to step in then. Once she came back she didn't resume the Managers position. I was stuck with it till about a month ago. They hired someone for the position. She got an office, and a better pay rate. This woman has no Management or Hospital experience. FML! I still have to do all the scheduling, and payroll. She's going to do it this week though. I'll have to talk her through it. As for liking it, yes. I don't have to worry about people calling in at all hours and I can do what I want on my off days. It's nice. I don't mind the pay cut.

Damn @ that girl getting hired and then getting more than you I hate crap like that. AND an office! Well, at least you don't have to deal with those issues anymore, like you said. That's a plus. I'm annoyed because I got a promotion in December, but I still don't have the raise to match it It's dragging on and on and on and I'm getting pissed.

And are there any rec leagues nearby? Could you join a team or create one??

Have you talked to upper Management about it?

There are no leagues that I know of near where I live. Everyone that I could ask probably would say no. I'm 26, and I'm not as good as I was when I was a teenager. It would be rough.
