Look, everyone can decide for themselves whether they want to keep watching or not, and I don’t have a problem with that. But I feel like that one goes out to the people who literally campaigned to get the show cancelled, and had they succeeded, there wouldn’t have been a role of Jordan Green for him to be cast as.

Obviously, it’s people’s choice on whether to watch it or not but campaigning for a show to be cancelled (and for the cast and crew to lose their jobs) will never sit well with me ... and now, it’s so many years on and we will get a seventh season now. So, I’m very glad for that.

And I love that it's that popular with users on RT as well

Same, and this season has been rated very well.

For sure.

Poor guy is getting hate for what he said though, I knew this would happen.

He mainly meant that the season has been so great that people who dropped it due to being unhappy with storylines might still enjoy it. He tried to explain it ... but the antis just keep harassing/sending him hate about it. UGH. I sent him a tweet though and he liked it

... hope that he continues to see the love/support on Twitter rather than the hate.

People I know IRL stopped watching after season 3, because of season 3 - not because of one character. Those people didn't even care about her (no offense to those who did). I'm tired of Twitter thinking Twitter = the whole audience.

Fans are so easily triggered, he tried to explain that that was not what he meant but of course, people had to start attacking poor Shannon.

And then they get annoyed when he blocks them for being rude, smh.

Holy crap, almost 8 months of filming.

Hopefully, we will get lots of BTS pictures to tide us over during that time.

To be fair, Shannon probably shouldn’t have specifically referenced the first 3 seasons, but I feel like he would have gotten hate even if he hadn’t.

I’m so excited for a longer season!

Wonder when Conageddon will be pushed back to now. Hopefully just April or May, not June.

I live under a rock. I had no idea about the campaigning. That is just so wrong. So glad they did not succeed.

I’m really glad too, Michelle. Fans had valid reasons for not continuing the show and being angry about what happened, but campaigning for a show to be cancelled vs just not watching it anymore is very different. I still love the show and I’m glad that we have a seventh season now and the hate didn’t stop that from happening.
