Laura, they did have that brief interaction when Octavia came back to Arkadia but I'm not sure if I'd call them friends.

Yeah, I wouldn't call them friends. I wonder how Niylah views Octavia since she's the only one who shows respects towards grounders and their culture.

Oh definitely. I feel like the writers had no idea what to do with her this season, so they just had her comfort Clarke, when she needed it. Waste of a character, give her more to do, giver her a purpose and agency.

Yup, me too.

And I totally agree about Niylah, she's a good person and deserves better than to be just Clarke's current source of comfort. I wonder if she'll stick around until next season and if so, I really hope that they give her more of a purpose on the show.

I hope so too. One positive of all of the deaths this season is that they will hopefully leave more screen time for some characters like Niylah who could be fleshed out a bit more

With Clarke up in space (assuming that happens), Niylah will have time to develop her own purpose. Not sure quite why I think she's so cool, given that we haven't really seen all that much of her, but I like her! Definitely hoping to see more of her next season. And I think we will given that they made such a big deal of Octavia saving her.

Yeah I think she's cool too for some reason, maybe because she seems so chill? And kind. She always looks calm, and not in a Luna sort of way.
