I didn't really care about her, but I recognize how nice and caring and smart she was and then the poor girl melted.

She definitely had a particularly tragic ending She did so much to help the delinquents, and it got her melted

I really started liking her after she told Jasper and Monty about what they were doing to the Grounders. She didn’t have to help them (nor did the other people who helped the 48) but she did because she knew it was the right thing to do. And she melted because of it.

And Bellamy would never have been able to get his people out (or help those on the outside) without her help.

I didn't like Maya in the beginning, mainly because I didn't trust her but she turned out to be one of the good people. Helped people she barely knew because it was the right thing to do. I wish they could have come up with a plan to save her and the other people who didn't deserve to die.

But to be honest though, I kinda like that The 100 is a show that didn't save her

I mean, obviously I didn't want her to die, I would've loved to see her survive. But this show has always been brutal in stuff like that, not coming up with crazy magical last minute solutions for everything.
So whilst, yes, I was sad to see her die, I'm kinda glad that she did? Makes sense?

It does.

I wanted them to find a solution to at least rescue the children and the people who tried to help them but it's realistic that they didn't find a solution at the last minute and saved the day. But I also think it's a bit lazy writing that they didn't focus much on them trying to find an actual solution for them to survive outside of Mt Weather.

All the Mountain People had the opportunity to survive with bone marrow donations from the Sky People, and no one would have to die

Kane suggested this option to Cage in 2x16 but Cage didn't want to listen to him

Only the blood transfusion wasn't a permanent solution ... Bone marrow donation would be a permanent solution for all of them
