I love it that my sons are a still a bit mama boys, even if they are grown-up now ... and the girlfriend of my son is like a friend for me ... I don't think that she has problems with me

But I can understand your thinking Lisa ... some moms might be a bit overprotective when it comes to their sons and they feel that no girl is good enough for their sons ... I'm glad that I'm not like these moms

I think Ricky's relationship is adorable, I just can't with men who are not able to take care of themselves and depend on their mothers to do everythings for them or can't make a decision without consulting them first.

Ricky seems not to be a man who has to ask his mom before he can make a decision

It was always important for me to prepare my sons, so that they can live on their own.
My older son must wash his clothes on his own since he's 18 years old, and I have showed him how to cook ... also he must clean his rooms alone since years

Yeah, though I think he's seeking her advice if he's in a difficult spot, like when he had a hard time on The 100 set and was about to get the role on American Gods. But that's normal, I'm asking the people I'm close to for advice too, usully my best friend, sister or dad.

That's great parenting. I know somebody who is yelling for their mom to come close their window. I was like: I'll close it, don't be ridiculosu, you entitled brat.

There's a fine line too, when those men are in relationships with women - who's opinion do they value more? Their mother or their partner?

This is the area where I often have concern

Oh, it's easy for me when it comes to my husband ... there can only one opinion have more value, and that is my opinion ... my mother in law has no chance against me

And if my sons have a girlfriend or later a wife, then the opinion of the girlfriend/wife should have more value for my sons and I should stay out of it
