Lincoln’s death was the straw that broke the camel's back for me and I’ve been on a hiatus from the show since it happened. Maybe I’ll go back to it (there are many aspects of the show I really like), maybe I won’t (there are a few I really, really don’t). But brutally killing a character that was imo the moral compass of the show and the embodiment of empathy just left a really bad taste in my mouth. I'm very happy for Ricky moving on from a place where he was clearly unhappy (to say the least).

It did for me too.

Even though he died with honour, his death should not have happened in the first place because I don't think that TPTB had run into a wall when it came to Lincoln. He still had an important role to play within the storylines and he was a symbol of hope when it came to Arkers/Grounders living peacefully together and I'll never not be bitter that a gentle soul like Lincoln had to meet that fate.
