I guess the point of season 5 was to focus on basically...how stupid these people are in their constant need to battle over everything, and how ultimately it lead to their own downfall. That said, there were tweaks that should have been made to make it WORK a little bit better. Luckily we had that amazing ending!

Hmm, good point though it was still frustrating to watch as a fan. Also, I feel that was also hashed out in season 4 to some extent (with all the failed plans and frustration) so I wanted them to go in another direction in season 5. Alas. Hopefully, they learn from the mistakes made in season 5.

I love Season 5!
It's my favorite season.
It has a lot of interesting story IMO, especially the Blakes story ... and it has a lot what we can learn from it for real life, because in real life a lot of people aren't able to understand that we have only this one world, and we have to protect our world instead of destroying it!

Oh don't get me wrong, there were things I loved.
And certain episodes I will rewatch again and again

I just think the overall story line could've / should've had more progression, in any kind of way really

I really, really liked the premiere, 5x03 to 5x05 and then 5x13. But yeah, I probably won’t rewatch the other episodes very much.

And also, I’ve spoken on this before but I really felt disconnected from all my favourites (except for Clarke in the premiere) for the most part which was really unnerving and I didn’t like that.

I sometimes think we could have benefit from a COUPLE more flashbacks, tbh. Even in the back of my mind I was always thinking of how long it had been and what did they do during that time, etc. I dunno, would have maybe helped a bit.

I definitely feel like one/two flashbacks of them assimilating to life in space would have helped us connect more to them. I was a bit baffled when I first read that there wouldn't be any flashbacks.

Same, I mean in many cases you can fill in the blanks yourselves, but sometimes you shouldn't have to as well.

Exactly, and when fans have to jump through hoops just to make sense of the season and what it was hoping to accomplish, that’s probably not a good sign. That and the fact that some fanfics were probably more well fleshed out compared to what we actually got.

I just finished The Haunting of Hill House and damn, that's how characters should talk. I mean there were a ton of times when they SHOULD have but didn't, but ultimately they did in the end. Take note, The 100!

I really hope that they already have, especially since the writing is all done for season 6.
