I don't know what to think about the time jump. In theory they can work great for storytelling and character development but 100 and some years? I don't know.

They are going to be the same people they were before going into cryo-sleep. The time jump itself won't affect them much. I mean they'll be definitely shocked about the new planet and Marper being dead because they were supposed to sleep for 10 years and go back to earth but imo the character development in season 6 will have to do with being on a new planet, having to adjust to new circumstances.

People wake up from cryo-sleep exactly how they went into it. Whether they are out cold for 10 years or a 1000 years.

They'll be changing and affected by what happened in season 5 going forward of course, and if interviews are anything to go by, all those issues will be addressed. But the fact that they've been asleep for more than a 100 years won't impact them because for them, no time has passed at all.

Yeah, I'm not sure why the time jump would affect the characters much, apart from the shock of finding out how long is was and that Marper are now gone ... it's literally hours for them in real time.

I've been thinking about season 6 and what I want to see. I don't have many thoughts yet really but what about everyone else? Thoughts on what you want to see in season 6?

Great question, Michelle. I honestly do not want to see yet another war, say with the occupants of the new planet since those would be the Eligius 3 people and whoever else originally inhabited the planet. Been there, done that. And as Bellamy foreshadowed in the finale, it’s a situation that they’ve been in before so I don’t think any of them want another war on their hands.

I want to see world building, them trying to forge a new life on the new planet and possibly fighting against natural elements on the new planet, weird animals perhaps? Not sure what else we should expect but yeah, that’s the main thing for me, I think.

I was thinking about this today, and it's so hard to even THINK about because I have no idea what's coming at all. Like, will there be giant alien elephants there? What will the issue of the season be? I just want our characters to be together alot, and to like, have some good discussions.

Completely agree, you guys.

I don’t want another war either. It’s so tiring at this point. Fighting natural elements, absolutely. That could be really intriguing. Kane and Diyoza talking about a peaceful existence... I hope it was foreshadowing and that’s the eventual goal.

I just hope season 6 is character-driven. We really need to get back to this.

Definitely want a more character-driven season, it will always be plot-based, no doubt but there wasn't a good balance of that in season 5. So I really hope that is where the focus will be back on, in season 6.
