Because I mean really, he doesn't know if they will ever get back down (presumably)...or at least, they were expecting to go down after 5 years and as we saw in the finale, it's been 6. I MUST KNOW WHAT HAS HAPPENED

I will be greatly annoyed if we come back and he's been taken prisoner by that other ship. Stop separating him from everyone.

He does get separated a lot. But I suppose it speaks to the writers’ faith in Richard that he can carry an entire storyline.

I’m still convinced that it’s Richard’s magnetic personality that made the writers decide to bring Murphy back. And I’m so glad they did, because look at all they’ve done with him.

If someone else played him, he could easily come across as super unlikable and really hard to sympathise with. There's something about Richard and his acting that elevates Murphy in a way I don't think alot of other actors could.

Thats why though... They separate him because Richard can totally carry a storyline alone and with anyone they ask him to! lol.

I feel like murphy is universally liked or at least tolerated by most fans.

That video is great! I dont like long videos but I love to watch them when they have my favs lol
