I love that he is having PTSD (the actor said that). This is probably the first CW show where people don't get over their traumas in one episode

Speaking of survival, Jasper is, as Eric noted, "a very durable guy," considering his spearing a few episodes ago. So what's his perspective now, coming out of such a traumatic event? "Fear, I think," Bostick laughed. "Jasper has a lot of post-traumatic stress disorder after the spearing. Once you've been a kabob, it sort of changes your life... I think we really see him step into the danger anyway, because he loves Octavia. Watch out, Grounders!"

Added Rothenberg, "The truth is he was supposed to die in the pilot." Of course, that idea changed when he saw how great Bostick was in the role. "We knew we had to keep him around, but we also knew that he would have to hurt... so it never really leaves his character, that spearing."

WOW... yes, thank you for keeping Jasper... sad though that it never leaves his character. hope he can move on someday

We all thought he was gonna die. No one would survive a blow like that in real life, but the writers thankfully saw potential for great things. He looks like he'll have a bigger role in tomorrow nights episode.

Jasper was really brave getting out of the camp and trying to find Octavia. But he is obviously still affected about what happened.

I hope so. It's nice to see some characters getting more involved in the main plot.
