Swimming/lake!fic is something I'm wanting to write, just a short one-shot, but I'm having trouble making canon fit around it. It will probably be canon-divergent.

Glad that everyone likes the title ... thought it’s timely to switch it up and a lot of people on Twitter are using that to refer to Bellarke and I really love it.

I still prefer canon divergent fics somehow so can’t wait to read it when it’s done, Amelia.

Oh, yeah, I voted! Love those Spoiler TV polls. It’s also nomination period for Performer of the Month, and I think a lot of people are trying to get Bob nominated for 5x08. I put in my nomination. Eliza was nominated earlier this season, but it was for 5x04. Which she didn’t really speak a whole lot in. She probably deserved it for 5x01.

Once their romance is psychically canon, can we use Hostage Taker and His Girlfriend? Even if it's just the once.

The Bellarke cosplayers. They’re so cute. Perfect shirts they had.

Me, too! That’s why we always need those stars in the title (in regular thread titles.)

We do have a fic thread somewhere, Tara, but I don’t think we’ve ever actually gotten around to doing anything with it. We have one on Bob’s board, too, but I have yet to put together an OP for that. We do have fics and authors linked in the opening post now, though.

So I tweeted that, in 5x08, Bellamy proved the “love is weakness” idea wrong. Because while it weakened him in the beginning dealing with Octavia, in the end, his love for Clarke gave him the STRENGTH to do what needed to be done.

Ilona is one of my fave people I follow. I love the positivity.

I was actually thinking about that earlier, especially in relation to Indra asking Octavia if loving her makes Indra weak.

Yay for Ilona appreciation... I actually thanked her recently for being one of the more positive Blarkes especially when people were just spiralling after 5x06 and making Twitter unbearable. Em (imwithbellamy) is also one of my favourites, because of her positivity.

I agree with that, April ... I never thought about it before this but that scene subverted the whole “love is weakness” nonsense because it shows that love is strength. Love (for Clarke) gave Bellamy the courage to do what he was trying so hard not to do, because of his love for Octavia.
