The Braven in this episode was so nice, even if she was mad about them not getting the generator.

Definitely not an episode that I'd watch normally out of order, though. Like I'd only watch it again if I was watching the full season or series.

So much of this episode is sucky now in hindsight that we know Riley is so meaningless, etc.

The line about Clarke's dad was unnecessary, Raven definitely only said it to hurt Clarke but in general, Raven has every right to judge Clarke or anybody else who makes decisions, esp. if they lie to their people and do something illogical. Raven and a lot of the other remaining people had a way crappier life on the Ark than Clarke and authority you can't question reminds them of how things were run in space.

The BR scenes made me happy too. “We have Raven.” If anyone can build a hydrogenerator in 6 months, it’s her and Monty for sure.

Agreed, not the best

The thing with Raven is weird. She is totally against everything Clarke (and Bellamy) decides and does but will not openly defy her. It's this weird mixture of loyalty and just I dunno crabbiness, so passive aggressive, and I am so not a fan of it

I can definitely agree with Raven that lying to the people is wrong, they all knew that people would volunteer to help either way, but I think Clarke would be scared that people would start fighting and committing acts of violence to ensure their spot.

Honestly, I don't know why they didn't just come up with the lottery idea in the first place.

I agree with this, but I feel like at this point, after all they've gone through, this is a dated reaction to what's going on. Although I can see her getting frustrated of course, especially with Clarke giving that speech. Her just sending out cruel jabs doesn't jive to me.

Plus, she's not really offering up any comparable alternatives I mean it was her idea to the get the machine so them coming back empty handed blows chunks, but they didn't do it just for a party. Although I still think it was dumb

I can understand her being afraid of panic erupting and losing people to work on the ship but at the same time that means she's using them to ensure some of them get a chance to live. And as Jasper said, what about free will?

It was the moment when Clarke went the Jaha route and not the Jake route unfortunately
And as much as that Raven quip about her dad annoyed me, I think that's why Raven keeps bringing up Jake (maybe subconsciously). To remindher of her dad, who did make the right decision. And died for it.

The lottery idea to motivate people, that's next episode, right? Jaha's experience coming in handy there
